In early January of 2023, the owner of Mama Celeste decided to close the book on a long career in pizza making. While Stephen “Monty” Montgomery started to look for potential leases, his partner, Keith “Toastie” Kirk and Executive Chef Joe Lopez started to think of a plan. With 5 months until Memorial Day, there wasn’t much time to think. With the support of the senior ownership at The Starboard, the concept of Starboard Sauced was born. Our goal is to operate a top-quality Pizza Shop using the best ingredients possible. We want to make a pizza that kids will love, and their parents can enjoy just as much!
It’s a great place to grab a sub on the way to the beach, a pizza to take home to the kids on that rainy day, or a slice on the way to your next watering hole!
